Essential knowledge for ‘All who go to Sea’.

This course has been arranged to cover the National Marine Safety Committee (NMSC) guidelines for recreational Boat Operator competencies which has been adopted by NSW Maritime Authority (NSW MA) for the theory component for the issue of the recreational Boat Driver License.  It will also provide students with sufficient knowledge and skill for them to be able to demonstrate the routines and procedures associated with competent and responsible behavior as a crew person operating under close supervision on a cruising yacht.

This course is the start of your International qualifications and is completed over one weekend day and one evening and with Keelboat Set Sail and Keelboat Skipper theory evenings completes the required 16 hours for this course. It includes a 3 hour practical on one of our large offshore yachts.

On successful completion of this course, the practical courses of YA Keelboat Set Sail, YA Keelboat Skipper, NSW Marine Authority Power Boat Drivers course you will qualify for following :-

• RYA YA Basic Navigation and Safety certificate issued by PSS

• YA Competent Crew Certificate issued by PSS

• YA Powerboat Certificate issue by PSS
• The Theory component of the NSW MA recreational Boat Driver License
