Booking Conditions
Immediately on booking of any course or event a booking Schedule (which includes our booking conditions) is automattically generated and posted to you. If you have any questions re our booking conditions please email the Principal at info@pacificsailingschool.com.au
Deposit on Courses
The deposit is payable on booking
Courses (book single course)
$200 deposit + $89 for YA Registration, Insurance for 12 months on PSS boats, Logbook , YA Start Yachting textbook and Certificate
Course Programs (book 2 courses - 5% discount, book 3 courses 10% discount)
$500 deposit + $89 for YA Registration, Insurance for 12 months on PSS boats, Logbook , YA Start Yachting textbook and Certificate
Sailing Holidays - $500 (paid direct to our licensed Travel Agent)
The Balance
YA Courses - Is due 15 days before the start of the course
RYA YA Courses - 31 days before start of course
Sailing Holidays - 60 days prior to charter
Refunds - are not available
All Courses and Events
Open dated Courses/lessons - From 1st Januay 2008 courses are valid for 12 months from date purchase
Rescheduling/change of dates
YA Keelboat Crew and Keelboat Helm
More than 48 hours is required, inside 48 hours we have our boat and Instructor committed and we will charge a $39 rescheduling fee.
YA Keelboat Spinnaker, Keelboat Racing, Keelboat Seamanship.
More than 15 days notice is required, inside 15 days we have our boat, the crew and Instructor confirmed and we will charge a $39 rescheduling fee per session. To rebook - rebooking is on a standby basis and subject to availability.
YA Bareboat Charter Skipper, Offshore Racing Crew Practical Courses,
RYA YA Shorebased Theory, RYA YA 2 day and 5 day Practical Courses, Try Sailing Workshop, J24 Racing Championships, Safety and Sea Survival and Radio Courses and any other course or training listed and available on our webite.
31 days notice is required. Reschedule, cancel or change of date within 31 days of the course start will forfeit all fees paid. We have booked our rooms, Instructors, the J24 yachts & our large expensive yachts and we are committed to the hire and use of the rooms & yachts.
Insurance - We advise to insure against lost of fees in case of emergency or sickness. We do not provide insurance.
We will of course try to organize a replacement in the event of an emergency, however if we are unable to find a replacement the conditions above will be strickly enforced. No refunds available.
Inclement Weather
This is an outdoor sport and we ask that our Students arrive for the lesson. We provide light wet weather jackets. The Instructor will decide for the reasons of safety if the lesson will continue. Should the lesson be cancelled then the full lesson will be rescheduled to a date convenient to the student.
Cancellation: All Courses & Programs
Cancel the Course or Program within 5 days of the date of booking the course, we will refund less a cancellation charge of $200 per course. Cancel more than 5 days from the date of booking - No refund.

The student acknowledges that there are risks involved with any water sports and accordingly hereby releases Pacific Sailing School Pty Ltd and any of its employees or agents from any liability however arising from personal injury, financial loss or loss & damage to personal belongings.
Student Disclaimer to sign at start of each course
Welcome to Sailing- Today is your introduction to sailing on Sydney Harbour. I know this will be the start of an incredible voyage. Set Sail safely and have fun! Please read our disclaimer and then sign this document and return it to our office prior to setting sail: Some safety first, can you swim? If not, ask your Instructor for a Lifejacket or a Personal Flotation Device. Please make sure that you are aware at all times of the boom, that you keep your head low and don't let your head be hit by the boom. Prior to setting sail, your Instructor will ask if you can swim and conduct a safety briefing. Please ensure that you have non marking and enclosed soft soled shoes. Facebook/Photos - I AUTHORIZE /I DO NOT AUTHORIZE Pacific Sailing School or their agents to take photographs of me while I am participating in events organised through the School including sailing courses, social occasions, sailing holidays, racing and Try Sailing workshops and sailing events, I understand the images may be altered and copy added and I waive the right to approve the finished product that may be reproduced on the School's website or Facebook pages.
